group discussion for 4-18
In our group today we finally realised what we were supposed to be figuring out about the sounds of words. We had some some difficulties finding the examples of alliteration, Assonance, and Consonance. We have find the majority of the examples we want. The problem was we werent sure how to relate them to the reason that that specific example of allitereation was important for that specific argumnet in the novel. But now we understand that the reason may be as simple as stressing a certain emotion or motif.

You are correct that alliteration can be as simple as stressing a certain emotion or motif. As to finding enough examples, I could help you find some as I have read to page 223. In relating them to the novel and the reasons, I suggest you think about the argument that the writer is trying to express in that certain chapter. Most of the time the argument will help to explain why the author decided to add certain sentences. Again, if you need any help i will try to contribute just post any questions you have on my blog. ~Matt
Hay, we need one more quote for assonance and the explanation. Thanks Devon.
